I’m trying to add a little padding to my website so that when the website is in a browser window smaller than 960 px, the words are not up against the side. My website is: http://wilandlane.weebly.com/.

I am not overly familiar with CSS but I have tried a few things, including padding:

{
width:100%;
min-width:960px;
padding: 0 30px 0 30px;
background:#fff;
}

and

.container {
margin: 0 auto;
padding: 0 30px 0 30px;
width: 960px;
}

Those two modifications work great for the left side, it pushes all content inwards; however, the right side is not correct. When I scroll over, there are dark, even borders.

Basically I would like spacing on each of these sides (on the first one, my scroll bar is full left, and the second one is full right):

Any help would be very appreciated
