Watch Out the Theme When You Choose Copy Site Option in Weebly

Here is some thing that you should watch out if you plan on using the Copy Site option in Weebly.

If you changed your original site theme by editing HTML/CSS and then copied the site, then you should note that both your original site and copied site use the same theme.

Any theme changes (html/css) made to the copied site will automatically get reflected in the original site too. Even though the content is maintained separately, the style still comes from the same theme for both the sites. Here is a workaround for you to get around this issue.…

How to Import a Theme in Weebly

If you have downloaded a custom template from a third party and would like to use it for your Weebly site, you will have to import your downloaded theme into your Weebly Editor first.

Import function is available through “Design” -> “All Themes” -> “My Custom Themes” -> “Import Theme”. You can also import a previously exported theme. The theme you import must be a zip file. Only those themes that are customized for Weebly CMS will work for Weebly sites.
