How to Backup a Weebly site
Backup your Weebly Site whenever you publish significant changes.
You can take a full back up of your Weebly website and save it to your local machine any time you want.Backup will only let you save a copy of your site. You can not restore a previously saved backup.
Weebly maintains a record of your three latest backups, so you can download them any time. It is ideal to save them onto your local machine so you have access to all your previous backups.
There are several reasons why you may want to backup :
- Weebly has no version control. Weebly maintains only the latest information for your site. So, if you ever want to compare with what you had three months ago, or if you want to use the content you had in past, our local copy is the only choice.
- If you need to migrate your site to a different provider, archive (backup) is the only choice.
- When disaster strikes, your archive comes to the rescue. Always download a local copy. If you are ever locked out of your account, your local copy is all you have.
