How to Edit Contact Form Title, Fields and Form Options in weebly
All most all websites need and use contact forms. Weebly’s Contact form has lot of options and is fully customizable. You can add new fields to the contact form. Mark the fields as optional or mandatory, set the form details forwarding choices, Set the help boxes for your visitors to use while filling the form etc. You can use multiple contact forms in the pages. Let us take the example of Telugu Mahal Contact Us page which uses some of the weebly pro and free features. Telugu Mahal is a site where multiple movie distributors and exhibitors update movie schedules. We needed a mechanism where people can upload their files directly through the contact form.
The file upload option of contact form is a Weebly Pro feature. To add different fields to the contact form, click the tile of the Contact form. “Form Options” along with the form fields elements will show up for configuration.
Clicking the “Form Options” will reveal the Contact form configuration options. You can select a name for contact form so that the related entries can be sorted by form name. You can add or edit any email address to receive information when your visitors fill the forms. Once your visitor submits the form, you can choose to dispaly a Text message or forward them to a link you configure. Other cosmetic appearances can be changed in the “Advanced” choice. To add new fields to the form, drag-and-drop the “Options Buttons” or “Check Boxes”, or “Dropdown Box” into the contact form. Click the “More” to display more form fields like “Phone Numbers” etc.
You can use multiple email addresses in the form. One form can have multiples of any of the fields. To edit the properties of a field in the contact form, click that field. Options relevant to the field will be displayed.
The name of the field can be changed from the “Field Title” in the properties bar. To make a field mandatory, mark it as required. If it is optional, choose Not-Required. To display a help text for a field, click “Edit Text” of Field Instructions. This will prompt your users with the help needed to fill specific fields.
You can view the submitted form entires by choosing the “Form Entries” in your site list.
If you have multiple blogs and multiple forms (contact forms or survey forms), they all can be checked from “My Sites” page. Select the “Form Entries” and you will get to pick which form entries you would like to view.
