How to Edit Contact Form Title, Fields and Form Options in weebly

All most all websites need and use contact forms. Weebly’s Contact form has lot of options and is fully customizable. You can add new fields to the contact form. Mark the fields as optional or mandatory, set the form details forwarding choices, Set the help boxes for your visitors to use while filling the form etc. You can use multiple contact forms in the pages. Let us take the example of Telugu Mahal Contact Us page which uses some of the weebly pro and free features. Telugu Mahal is a site where multiple movie distributors and exhibitors update movie schedules. We needed a mechanism where people can upload their files directly through the contact form.

The file upload option of contact form is a Weebly Pro feature. To add different fields to the contact form, click the tile of the Contact form. “Form Options” along with the form fields elements will show up for configuration.
Click “Form Options” to edit the contact form settings.
Clicking the “Form Options” will reveal the Contact form configuration options. You can select a name for contact form so that the related entries can be sorted by form name. You can add or edit any email address to receive information when your visitors fill the forms. Once your visitor submits the form, you can choose to dispaly a Text message or forward them to a link you configure. Other cosmetic appearances can be changed in the “Advanced” choice. To add new fields to the form, drag-and-drop the “Options Buttons” or “Check Boxes”, or “Dropdown Box” into the contact form. Click the “More” to display more form fields like “Phone Numbers” etc.
More contact form fields like Phone Number, Email, Name etc can be added.
You can use multiple email addresses in the form. One form can have multiples of any of the fields. To edit the properties of a field in the contact form, click that field. Options relevant to the field will be displayed.
Clicking on a field will display the properties bar for the field.
The name of the field can be changed from the “Field Title” in the properties bar. To make a field mandatory, mark it as required. If it is optional, choose Not-Required. To display a help text for a field, click “Edit Text” of Field Instructions. This will prompt your users with the help needed to fill specific fields.
You can view the submitted form entires by choosing the “Form Entries” in your site list.
Check the Contact form entry submissions from “More” options in your site list also.
If you have multiple blogs and multiple forms (contact forms or survey forms), they all can be checked from “My Sites” page. Select the “Form Entries” and you will get to pick which form entries you would like to view.
Good post. But would like to add SPAM protection on Weebly forms.
I’m in learning stages. Have edited the contact info several times. Now it seems I’m locked out. I click on a field and options to edit do not come up. Instead, I am only able to type in the actual field that is intended for the site user.
I.E. When I click on the name field, I can’t edit the name title but can type in the field as if I were filling out the form.
What changed and how do I fix it? Thanks.

It is a basic form with very little validation in place. Could not find a field that accepts numeric only.

I have 3 contact forms that on clicking on subscribe the ‘set link’ field is set to link to another page on the site. For some users it links fine and for some it does not and appears to go to the home page.
Have you seen this before, and if so is there a fix?

Is there a way for a users answer within the contact form to trigger another question?
i.e. Are you a returning customer?
If they click “yes.” then a new box will appear asking them “how did you hear about us?” But if they choose “no” the new question will not appear and they will continue as normal.
What you are looking for is called conditional rules in forms, which is not possible with Weebly. But you can use third party form applications like Wufoo and FormStack and embed them into your Weebly site. Wufoo gives you upto 100 entries per month free. You really need to evaluate your long term need before using them.
